The tower at the edge of downtown
The Stratosphere opened April 30, 1996. Its 1,149-ft tower is described by AP as the tallest freestanding observation tower in the U.S., and the property was renamed The STRAT in 2020. Top of the World is on Level 106 and the observation decks are on Levels 108–109.
In the city’s release, the area’s councilwoman said the Loop “will bring new visitors to experience the 18B Las Vegas Arts District.” See our Arts District page and the downtown stations guide.
